Introducing Twisted Horn’s March Mead and Cider Flavors!

It’s time for our monthly promoted flavors of mead and cider on tap here at Twisted Horn!

We have been working hard to give you exceptional experiences with our honey wine and cider that will be celebrated from the hills to the valleys! Or at least when you and your fellow travelers come and join us for a night of fantasy and adventure on our Wednesday D&D Nights each week.

As with all our drinks, please enjoy responsibly, and stay safe within our mead hall and when you return to your home after celebrating with us.

To the Core

We’re keeping our drinks simple this month with To the Core. This cyser mead is brewed using Superbloom California coastal honey supplied by Temecula Valley Honey combined with a cider apple blend from Washington state.

This drink is clear as a bell with its gorgeous golden hue which adds to its off-dry character that maintains just a slight hint of the sugar left from the honey. With its floral honey overtones, this cyser is very much like a pommier or apple wine.

What’s most surprising about this drink is that with an ABV of 9.4%, it gives no strong alcohol taste, but instead leaves an after taste of heather and sage.

To the Core is $2.00 for a taster, $7.00 for an 8 oz, or $23.00 for a 32 oz growler.

Pure Pear

There is something about a purely simple drink. And that is what we have to offer with our Pure Pear perry.

This cider is made using pure pear juice from the Hood River, Oregon region.

That’s it. Unembellished and unadulterated. This cider’s off-dry character just screams perfectly ripened pear, pear, pear!

With its lovely straw color, petillant carbonation, and ABV of 5.8%, this cider ended up winning the gold medal at the San Diego International Beer Competition in 2021!

Pure Pear will be set to be on the tap soon. Stay tuned for prices!

Come enjoy these flavors of mead and cider as well as last month’s flavors like Helm Wrecker, Adam’s Leaf, Hemispheres, and more!

The mead hall opens at 4 PM Pacific Wednesday through Friday and at 2 PM Pacific Saturday and Sunday. Bring your friends, fellow travelers, and adventurers to nights of good food, great drinks, fantastic music, and epic tales with our weekly D&D nights every Wednesday, spoken word, or concert performances such as last month’s from Nathan James.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with all of the events we have planned for you and your fellow travelers!

If your own adventures keep you from our festivities, you can pillage the mead at various locations throughout San Diego, Orange, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties, or order online.
